The children at the orphanage had a small Tết celebration last week. They enjoyed the day with yummy food and music.

Tết is the Vietnamese New Year, or also called Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Tết is a short version of Tết Nguyên Đán. Translated it means “Feast of the First Morning of the First Day”. The holiday is the most significant celebration in the Vietnamese culture. Tết is usually celebrated around the same time as the Chinese new year and goes from the first day of the first month of the Vietnamese calendar (late January or early February) until at least the third day.
