Teresa (Y Lung) and her husband Thín decided after their wedding to dedicate their lives to caring for children. Teresa grew up in an orphanage in the region herself and began looking after the younger children from an early age.

With no financial means, she and Thín poured their hearts into making their dream a reality: to give the orphaned children in the region a home, a happy childhood, and the experience of growing up in a loving family.

In 2005, they finally opened the home, which initially consisted of just one room and has been supported by LittleBigDreams since 2019. Since then, sleeping quarters, educational spaces, sanitary facilities, a bakery, and much more have been built, and the large garden of the orphanage has been carefully cultivated. In 2024, Teresa passed away after a two-year battle with breast cancer, but her vision lives on, with the home now being run by her husband and their adult daughter, Pha Ny.
