Sponsorships

You can start sponsoring a child by setting up a standing order through Donorbox or your personal bank account with the reference “Sponsorship.” Afterward, just send us an email via our contact form.

Within a few days, we’ll send you a sponsorship letter with a photo and details about your sponsored child. Plus, you'll receive a digital update on your sponsorship once a year.

** All photos of the children have been officially approved by their legal guardians, Teresa, or by the children themselves if they are of legal age.

With a personal sponsorship, you support Teresa in her dream of giving every child a safe and loving home. A euro a day is enough to cover the cost of food for one child. For less than 2.50€ a day—about the cost of a coffee—you can also cover hygiene, clothing, and school or university fees and materials.

Questions & Answers About Our Sponsorships

  • Yes! Just send us an email with the name and email address of the recipient so we can send them updates about their sponsored child.

  • Yes! A class or a group of people can certainly take on a sponsorship. Just get in touch with us to discuss the details, and we’ll help set it up so everyone can be involved.

  • Once a year, you'll receive a letter from us with updated information about your sponsored child.

The children also love receiving letters, photos, and video messages from you. Just send them to us at: info@littlebigdreams.org, and we'll forward them to the orphanage for you.

If you want to send a gift, please contact us first. It might be easier and cheaper to make a donation, and Teresa can buy the gift locally for your sponsored child. If you choose to send a gift, keep in mind that it should be something your sponsored child can share with the other children in the orphanage. For example, games, balls, or art supplies are great options. This helps avoid any potential jealousy.

    What should you write about?

The children enjoy learning about their sponsors’ lives. It’s a good idea to write about your family, friends, and pets. You can share what you like to do (your job, hobbies, interests) and describe where you come from and what your hometown is like. You can also talk about your culture, such as the language you speak, the holidays you celebrate, or your favorite foods.

The children especially appreciate receiving photos, which you can include with your letter.

It’s best to write the letter in English (or Vietnamese if you prefer). We can also translate letters from German for you.

Important: Please address the letter to all the children. Not all the children have sponsors, and we want to avoid any feelings of jealousy or sadness. The goal of a sponsorship is to bring joy and avoid creating any negative dynamics. However, you can help by encouraging more people to take on sponsorships, so that soon direct letters can be exchanged.

We also encourage you to avoid writing about political or religious topics.

  • Before sending gifts to Vietnam, please contact us first at

info@littlebigdreams.org. It might be easier and more cost-effective if you make a donation instead, and Teresa can purchase the gift locally in Vietnam. We generally recommend buying gifts locally to support local shops and the community.

  • We hope you can support your sponsored child until they are able to stand on their own. This could mean supporting them until they finish secondary school, but ideally, it means supporting them through to completing vocational training or higher education, helping them break the cycle and build a brighter future.

  • Yes. At the end of each year, you will receive an email with an update letter about your sponsored child's life. Additionally, every three months, you'll get a newsletter with general news from the orphanage, which will also include updates about your sponsored child. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us anytime.
