Yes, they do. 100% of your donations go to the project.* 0% of the donations go to the organization. None of the team members is getting paid, every one of us believes in this project and is donating his/her free time.

*except there is a trasfer fee between our bank account and the orphanages account.

We are a very young, motivated, and creative team that believes in getting active rather than just acknowledging problems. 

Our ongoing, daily contact with Teresa (head of the orphanage) and the children allows us to stay in the loop regarding what is needed most. Hence, we can help to materialize her dream of giving the children a carefree childhood and creating a future for them that is full of hope, independence, and opportunity.

Our main goal is to assist the orphanage to a point where it is self-sustainable. Together with Teresa and her husband, we are developing ways for the orphanage to finance itself. Moreover, Teresa’s and our aim and part of our vision are to run the orphanage and achieve our goals through environmentally friendly means.

It depends. It is crucial for us that the volunteering benefits Teresa and especially the children at the orphanage. Therefore, we will carefully evaluate each candidate individually. Please send us an email to info@littlebigdreams.org or to team@littlebigdreams.org. Let us know why you want to volunteer, for how long, and how you can think you can benefit Teresa and the children. It is also essential for us to know what your level of expertise is. Together with Teresa, we will then discuss your application and make thereupon a decision.

Yes. Just send us an e-mail with the name and e-mail address of the new sponsor’s name so that we can send him/her updates twice a year.

Every 8 months, you will receive a letter with updates about your sponsored child. Additionally, the children are always happy to receive letters from you. You can also send an email or a video message to us, which we will forward to Teresa, who can receive it through her phone and read it out to your sponsored child.

If you want to send a gift, please contact us first. It might be easier and cheaper to make a donation, and Teresa will buy the gift on-site for your sponsored child. However, if you buy a gift for your sponsored child, you should keep in mind that it is good to get something your sponsored child can enjoy together with the other children to prevent jealousy (like games, balls, painting & crafting supplies, etc.).

What can I write about?
The children like learning about the lives of their sponsors. Writing about your family, your friends, your pets, and what you like to do (your job, hobbies, interests) is always a good idea. You can also write about where you are from, how it looks like over there and your culture (food, language, etc.) But what the children enjoy most is pictures. It would be best if you write the letter in English (or, of course, Vietnamese) and send it to us per mail.

We encourage you not to write about political or religious topics.

We hope that you will assist your sponsored child until he/she can stand on his/her own feet. That could mean until he/she graduates from high school, but ideally, it means until the child graduated from university or finished an apprenticeship.
